Our Story

Atelier Plage was born out of a love for the simple beauty of the French Riviera and a desire to do fashion differently. It’s a story about family, memories, and the inspiration that can come from the places we hold close to our hearts.

It All Started with the Riviera

Growing up, I spent summers in Antibes, a beautiful Côte d'Azur town where my family still lives. Those days were filled with lazy walks to Juan-les-Pins, silhouetted by the olive trees of Av. des Oliviers. The Riviera has this effortless charm—people dress simply but with style, and there’s this natural blend of timeless elegance and ease that’s hard to find anywhere else.

But as much as I loved it, I noticed something missing. I’d look through the local shops, hoping to find clothes that really captured that French Riviera vibe—something that felt laid-back, yet luxurious. Unfortunately, most of what I found didn’t hit the mark. The beachwear was either too flashy or just didn’t feel like it had that quality I was looking for. There was a clear gap in the market for high-quality clothing with a minimal, beachy feel that really spoke to the Riviera lifestyle.

Turning Inspiration into Action

That realization stayed with me, but I didn’t know what to do with it at first. Then, in 2023, I made a big change. I decided to move full-time to Antibes and enroll in the Global MBA at EDHEC Business School in Nice. After finishing my courses, I had some time on my hands and a fresh perspective, and suddenly, it felt like the perfect moment to do something about this idea that had been in the back of my mind for so long. The thought of building a business rooted in everything I loved about the Riviera—its simplicity, its beauty, its style—became more than just a dream. It became a real possibility.

Building a Brand That Does Things Differently

At EDHEC, I learned a lot—not just about running a business, but about doing it sustainably. I was introduced to the importance of recycled materials, ethical business practices, working with both the planet's future and free cash flows in mind, and prioritizing partners who share your values. And I realized, if I was going to start a fashion brand, I wanted it to be one that did things the right way. That meant creating clothes that didn’t just look good, but also made a difference in how we think about fashion.

I didn’t want to contribute to the waste and fast fashion that’s hurting our planet. Instead, I wanted to build something that would last—timeless pieces made with care, using sustainable materials, and partnering with local European businesses who put just as much thought into their craft as I did into my designs.

The Journey of Starting Atelier Plage

So, with that vision in mind, I set out to create Atelier Plage. It wasn’t always easy. Finding the right fabrics and partners took time, and making sure everything was sourced sustainably was a challenge. But I was determined. I knew that if I could pull this off, I’d be creating something that felt true to both the French Riviera spirit and the future of fashion—one that cares about its impact.

Our clothes are designed to be simple but refined, with a focus on quality and sustainability. We selectively partnered with Native Spirits, a fair fashion producer, who promises to play an active role in making fashion more responsible. Native Spirits sources recycled materials, offers ethical labels, and offers full transparency, located in Portugal and the South of France. Every piece is made to last, so you can wear it for years, not just one season.

To further improve our ecological footprint, we decided to follow a print on-demand approach and limit excess inventory and unnecessary production. Partnering with TPOP allowed us to keep operations close-by in France and continue to prioritize environmental conservation with a partner who also has sustainability at the heart of their business.

A Mission for Something Bigger

At its heart, Atelier Plage is about more than just clothes. It’s about bringing attention to a new way of thinking about fashion—one that’s mindful of the environment and the people who make the clothes we wear. Our mission is to show that sustainability and style aren’t opposites. You can have both.

We’re not just building a brand; we’re building a movement. When you wear Atelier Plage, you’re supporting a better future for fashion—one that’s conscious, ethical, and designed to last.

Join Us on This Journey

At the end of the day, Atelier Plage is a reflection of everything I love about the French Riviera—its beauty, its simplicity, and its timeless style. We’re here to create clothes that make you feel good and do good at the same time. Whether you’re walking along the beach in Antibes or enjoying a summer evening on a rooftop in Cannes, we want to be the brand you reach for when you want something that feels both luxurious and effortless.

Thanks for being part of this journey. Together, we can prove that fashion can be beautiful, ethical, and sustainable—all at once.
